Job Profile
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Banknotes Dealing Assistant to join our FIG EMEA dealing team.
In this role, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to the banknotes dealing desk, enabling traders to focus on market activity and client relationships. You’ll handle processing of small ticket Domestic banknote orders as well as orders from the client Branch Ordering Portal (BOP). Uphold compliance standards and assist internal stakeholders.
This is a full-time, office-based position in our London office.
Key Responsibilities
Branch Ordering Portal (BOP) ownership
- Execute all client orders received into BOP in a timely manner
- Ensure all orders over a pre-defined value are immediately advised to the dealing team for them to review their FX positions
- Ongoing review of banknote stock levels. Update banknote availability in BOP to ensure sufficient stock is available when processing all deals
Processing of small ticket banknote orders
- Ensure clients are serviced in a timely and professional manner
- Execute small ticket deals received via e-mail into Intrafin promptly and accurately
- Ensure all orders over a pre-defined value are immediately advised to the dealing team for them to review their FX positions
Support the FIG EMEA dealing team
- Issue exchange rates to clients daily before 8:30am.
- Support team with administrative tasks and position-related updates.
- Process adjustment deals including client discrepancies advised by the Cash Centres, and adjustments advised by the FIG Ops team
- Trade reconciliation of deals booked by the dealing team including accuracy vs client comms, FX accuracy vs OMNI, job-line creation accuracy
System Administration
- Maintain and update relevant CRM records when required
- Maintain databases for BOP
- Maintain customer complaints
- Divisional miscellaneous administrative duties
Skills & Experience
- GCSE Maths A–C.
- Proficiency in Excel (including formulas and pivot tables).
- IT literate
- Experience in foreign exchange markets is desirable
- Market, risk and business awareness
- Basic knowledge of markets, products and services
- Basic knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory obligations
- Working within a multichannel environment

Please note: This is a full-time, permanent position. The role is expected to be office-based in London.
